Just about all of our friends and family and many of our coworkers know that we go to Gunnison. We don't keep it a secret from anyone. I work in a VERY big NJ company and because of the nature of my job I meet a lot of people face to face in the course of a day. Only once did I see a coworker there. We pretty much acted the same way we would if we met at the mall. I have no idea what her situation is so I never told anyone that I saw her there. But because I am open about it, it doesn't matter to me if she told anyone.

While I myself have never met friends, co-workers, etc. at Gunnison Beach, my co-workers & friends know of my visits every season to Gunny.  They seem to get a good laugh out of it.  I guess if such a thing were to happen to me I'd probably keep it casual.  I probably would'nt be shocked by meeting someone I knew.  O.K., a little surprised.   Just cross that bridge when you come to it.  Good Luck.  

I wish I knew what to say about this. It's never happened to me although I've seen some people who, at first, were people I thought I knew well. They all turned out to be false alarms--thankfully--but that doesn't mean I didn't jump five feet. My opinion is to wear a hat and sunglasses. I know that sounds obvious and probably ridiculous, but it should help. I'd also get a windscreen. With a windscreen you'll have a little privacy if you need it.
